Berkshire Child Health App

A new app has been created with advice on a wide range of common childhood illnesses. The Berkshire Child Health app, available on Apple and Android.Search Berkshire child health in the App Store.

A poster about the app is also available at surgeries and health visitors and a sticker is being attached by the health visitors at the new baby checks.

Dr Helen George, GP at Melrose Surgery in Reading, and the GP-lead for child health at South Reading Clinical Commissioning Group, encouraged people to download the app, saying:

“When your baby or child is unwell, it can be really stressful and hard to know what to do for the best. This app will help parents and carers to make informed decisions about how to care for their child when the inevitable childhood illnesses strike. It’s visually attractive, simple to navigate and provides all the facts at the touch of a button. I’d urge anyone who looks after a young child to download it today.”
